I headed back up from Hook Head to Carnivan Bay and did this one in th carpark overlooking the beach around 6-00 pm. I had a fair idea that the sun would be where I wanted it, having been there earlier in the week.

That makes two of us, Jane! Just back from the shops and had to drive through a river to get home! And hey, that beach one of yours is fairly heart warming too!

I'm sitting here soaked to the skin and it's just a pleasure to look at the warmth radiating from this Michael! It's beautiful!

Thanks Niamh, Sally and Tony. And BTW, Sally, thanks for the info on "infused light". I checked out those Richard Robinson video clips. I agree with most of what he is says but his explanation may be a bit dubious. Personally, I feel that effects like this are uniquely to do with human vision and cannot be captured by the camera. It is really probably the same thing as halation (where a bright object seems to "radiate" some of its colour into the immmediate background) but in reverse.

Lovely job, Michael. Great composition and colour.

I've just come across it, Michael, I felt I had seen something about it somewhere - a You Tube on infused light by Richard Robinson. All I have to do now is do it! Obviously it just comes instinctively to you.

Thanks Kevin. Probably my favourite of the four too and the one which took least time! Thanks Sally, maybe there is a word for it but I don't know it either. Just saw everything a bit blurred because of the background glare.

Beautiful evening light in this scene, and a nice sense of distance. Lovely!

This is beautiful, Michael. and I love the way you treated the rocks in the middle ground. I'm sure there's a technical name for it but I don't know what it is.
