Thanks to Sally for organizing a brillant outing with beautiful weather. I was struck by these colourful shutters (not literally!) and rendered them in acrylic.

Those shutters are wonderful, Sean.  The more I look at them the more I feel drawn into some exciting and mysterious fairy-tale. The lady who lived here - she died recently - was an artist too. I'm sure she would have loved them.  Very glad to hear they didn't do you any harm.  Actually, with colours like that they could only be Good Fairy shutters.  Thanks for your comments about my cottages.

I absolutely love this! I did when I saw it in the flesh (so to speak). It is beautiful.  Love the contrasts of shutters and background.
