Michael you letters and numbers are the iD or name of your photo of the painting, when you enter the details of the painting as you did that's what shows up. So you are OK. Fabulous set of free painting style. Look forward to seeing your other work.
Hi Sean and Kyrle. Thank you both for your lovely comments, it is most appreciated. I was at Balbriggan last week at the Dublin Plein Air Festival, along with Kyrle and many other artists. For some reason I felt bold colour was needed, as the harbour and boats in the heat and sunshine gave me a feeling of southern Spain or Greece. A bit mad perhaps, but I really enjoyed the fantasy.
I wonder if you would know the reason why my paintings are coming up with letters and numbers instead of their titles?
Anyway this is a great site and I look forward to submitting more Plein Air paintings in the near future.
I agree with Sean, there's a lot going on in this one, Its painting Con Brio ! and evokes the random movement of the boats beautifully for me.
Well done Michael.
This painting is a great delight to view. I love the palette knife effects, the peculiar artist's
vision and the
quirkiness of the scene to me is what major galleries often feature, and paintings
like this go for thousands in Bond Street.
