Hi All,

Deirdre and I are looking to organise a smallish group to go painting in Venice.

We were there last October 5th - 15th, and found the weather perfect for the job - not too warm, not too cool. And we had zero rain, and zero odours, that was a bonus.

We would like to hear from anyone interested in going around those dates.

As we are now doing Airbnb in Wexford, I checked using their website, and there are a number of one bedroom apartments for around E80, and a number of two bedroom ones for circa E100 which works out cheaper.

I cannot say we'll like your company however, nor you ours... but we can nonetheless meet for paint-out and socialisation in the evenings. Which is the whole point of heading off as a group.

So who's interested? Venice is IMO an entirely enthralling and amazing location in which to be a painter. It just brings out so much of the artist in you. This will be our fourth time there, so maybe we're a little biased ;)

Been there before a couple of times on short visits (without painting gear), so this will be my first time to paint there. Also, looks like there are several reasonably priced accommodation options there at that time of year - had another look on Airbnb. Hopefully, a few more artists will join us. I always find I learn a lot from other artists on trips like this.

Going Sunday 30th September until Thursday 11th October. Staying at an Airbnb rental, a house with accommodation for five in the Sestriere Castle between the Biennale and the Gardens in a separate house with two floors.

All we'll need now is weather like we had last year :) a
