Event Description

Great forecast  (relatively speaking) for Saturday. So how about a day at the sea-side? We meet at Little Strand Restaurant, Clogherhead at 11.30 for coffee.  They are not normally open in the morning but FOR US they are opening at 11.30.  I suggest you come a bit earlier and have a bit of a reconnoitre first.  We have had a paintout at the harbour already but there is also a wealth of opportunities at the beach – rocks, rock pools, big skies, sand dunes, thatched cottages, beach scenes, villagescapes, cliffs,  etc. etc.

Clogherhead is north of Drogheda.  To get there: - leave M1 at Exit 10 and follow signs towards Drogheda.

Follow signs on left to Termonfechin.

Follow signs to Clogherhead.

When you reach Clogherhead keep right.  There is a signpost on your right for Little Strand Restaurant.  If you have come early continue on to carpark at beach and enjoy a look around.

If you get lost phone me  086 8050177.

 See you there.

That was cooool Norah. Glad he landed in the grass and not the rocks or the sea.  Have you ever been 'round the Head'?  Its a lovely walk - from the beach , over the Head and down to the pier.  Takes about an hour.  See you Saturday.
