Looks like a nice little village and surroundings, as we passed through recently, en route to Kilmore Quay.

When we started SEPA (about 8-9 years ago now), we used to travel further afield and always meet up for a pint and chat afterwards. The lower legal driving limits out an end to the pints and then the recession made it difficult for many of our members to travel any distance. We definitely lost something along the way, and, apart from some venues, such as St Mullins, which are compact and make it easy for people to mingle and chat during the day, a lot of our recent outings have offered little else other than helping new memners overcome the fear of painting in public.
Actually, if we get a good turn-out tomorrow, it might be a good opportunity to have a chat about this and how we might plan future outings.
Do you want me to send a Group reminder about tomorrow?
Ah yes Michael, old habits from the Boyne Valley! ;)
I don't have a definite arrangement as regards any meal afterwards in Mary Barry's but we need to reserve a table due to they being booked out for Mother's Day.
But then again it might be nice to sit down afterwards and discuss the day or whatever. BTW not everyone in PEBV has a dinner afterwards, but quite a few do, and it our experience it greatly adds to the day out.
Hi John,
Since nobody has asked, and in case there's any misunderstanding with Mary Barry's, I assume we're just meeting for a coffee and snack again later in the afternoon. The SEPA Group has never had a formal meal after the paint-out and this may not suit everyone, so best to be sure of numbers.
Hi Guys,
I got on to Mary Barry's in Kilmore Village and confirmed the following with Troy, the manager:
There will be tea and coffee and maybe a cake or scone as well, from 11 am. This is earlier than their normal opening time, but they are used to that.
As it will be Mother's Day, we've been advised that we need to book, and the earliest they can accommodate us with a table is 4:30 pm.
I've done that, for 6-8 people, but I guess they will handle more if we show up in greater numbers.

See you soon!
