Event Description

In case we all get snowed in, over the next few days, I thought we could keep our third Nocturne in mind. Next Thursday night, from whenever it gets dark...wherever you are. A "pastoral scene" was suggested for this one ( by the light of the moon), which will be easier if you live out of town. Keep an eye on this page for a possible meet-up venue, if the weather improves.... Good luck everyone!!

Should we meet up anywhere?.... or are ye happy to find a "moonlit oasis" somewhere near you??
I'd post a photo Elaine,..but Id be afraid it would be held against me in a court of law!!

Great Belinda...It's a lot milder today, so you never know, our luck might be in!! I don't think we should complain though, as I came across an artist, who painted in -25 ( wind chill)!!
I tried a sketch last night, and ventured out prepared..three coats, two hats and two trousers!! good job no-one saw me!!

Since when did a little item like the weather stop us?? Seriously though these nights are sooo beautiful, I think it's worth giving a go. Extra thermals?? Hot toddies?? numerous hats for the follicley challenged ?? we might even be able to get something down in half an hour or less...??

I'm sure they do Elaine!! Fair play to anyone who got a piece done last night. The evening took on a kind of "pleasure-pain" experience. A beautiful night..but bitterly cold! On the positive side I think we worked a bit faster!! Armed with some handy hints, I'm looking forward to the next one..though I think I might be in line for a new Guiness World Record, for the highest number of thermals worn in one night !!

Does the Irish Coffee and hot whiskey help with the nocturnes?
