Event Description

Have you a sketchbook, that looks neglected?

With the great feeling of getting paint on canvas, we sometimes forget how important  drawing is, in gathering information, ideas, and compositions. It improves hand-eye co-ordination, which can only enrich our painting skills and are beautiful creations in themselves.

This seven day "sketchout", will help us to give a little attention to that "neglected sketchbook", and integrate it again into our " daily creative exercises".

At least one sketch a day En Plein Air.... There are no restrictions as ANY MEDIUM can be used to draw/sketch, just enjoy the process....

Last day of our Drawing a day, for seven days project. Thanks to everyone who has taken part in this, and even if you only had a chance to get one sketch done, it was well worth the effort!

Personally, I have introduced myself back to the joys of sketching.. It can take as long as you like, you can take a sketchbook and pencil anywhere, and not draw attention to yourself. It's a handy tool to get your ideas flowing, or simply to keep your hand/ eye co-ordination going. Note to self...must keep sketching!!

Day five today, and what a beautiful day. Hope all had a space in the day for a sketch!

Day three tomorrow of our Sketch-out. How's everyone getting on? Let us know what you sketched, or where you sketched, so we can have a "natter"!

Thanks to all who have signed up to this one. We're all looking forward to it. Make sure you have everything you need tomorrow morning..you never know where or when  the inspiration will "hit "you. Good luck and enjoy...

I think doing a sketch a day is a great idea. Takes me back to the basics. Have started with a ink and wash study of home.

Maybe a pencil tomorrow
