  • Tony Robinson

    Paint-outs in Italy?? Woah yeah!

But Italy Plein Air deserves a better image that the three green stooges. I'm sure you can come up with one!

  • Suzanne Kirk

Thanks Tony!(just sent me this link) Going to be painting in Venice next week so bit far from Florence but it is Italy!

  • John McManus

Hi All, I painted around Bagno Vignoni several times since the 90s and must get back again soon to complete many unfinished studies. It's a lovely spot in Val D'Orcia about an hour's drive south of Sienna. Hope to hook up with you there soon.

  • Karina Drogowska

Hi Tony, It's great you like it. Drop in Florence!

The green of the three stooges is similar to olives colors, thats why I chose this image, I joke... I'm searching now in 1000 of my photos the wright one to put instead.

  • Karina Drogowska

Hi Suzanne, if you like to join us for a paint outs in Florence you are more then welcome.

  • Karina Drogowska

Hi John, good you mentioned about Bagno Vignoni, beautiful place! If you planning go to Italy, please let us know. Hope see you soon.

  • Suzanne Kirk

Thanks Karina! I'm only in Venice a short while so will paint there but I am a big fan of Florence so I am sure I will be back to visit there soon. :)

  • Norah Blount

We are off to Italy next week and I hope to get some sketching done,  we have only one day in Venice but hope to get back for a longer stay - anyone going to host it ?

  • Suzanne Kirk

I'm just turning up on my own Norah. Did you mean that? Sorry if I've misunderstood!!!

  • Plein Eire Administrator

A good place to meet might be the Piscaria Fish Market? You can't miss its famous red tarpaulin screens. Theres a little quiet square through the archway at the back where there are a couple of cafes.

  • Norah Blount

I was thinking in terms of a painting trip Tony and Suzanne - possibly next spring,

Next week I am going to Lake Garda with my husband (with the travel dept) and we are going on organised trips - only one day in Venice so I will probably have limited time to paint Tony  - I have seen Ken Howards dvd where he does a sketch in the fish market - looks great.

  • Plein Eire Administrator

Too bad, Suzanne and Norah. Hope you both enjoy it very much. I'm sure you will.

  • Lori Putnam

Hi Karina and Italy Plein Air. It's nice to be part of your group! I have loved painting in Italy over the years, it's just so beautiful. This year I'm running a one-week painting holiday in Alghero, Sardinia May 22-29 - my friend Fabiano Mulas (a Sardinian who lives in Galway) is organising the trip for me. If anyone is interested please go to my website www.http://johndinan.com/art-classes/sardinia-landscape.html  or email me at jdinan@eircom.net

Thank you and wishing you many great plein air outings in 2014 around Florence - I'm so jealous. Ciao!

  • Karina Drogowska

For sure in October in Florence :)

  • Kelly Medford

    Hi Karina,

I'm a plein air painter in Rome (I used to live in Florence) and I'll be back in Florence painting from the 23rd of October for a couple of days. I have some friends staying at Palmerino, which is a villa just under Miano and will be painting a bit out there, but would also come and paint around the center some depending on the crowds. Maybe we could meet up then and paint together? And of course if anyone else is around as well to join us!

    Thanks,

    kelly

  • Karina Drogowska

    Hi Kelly,

Thank you for letting us know.

Palmerino sound interesting is quite near to Fiesole, actually we were thinking about this area too. They let us paint with easels? I had some problems in few villas, they don't aloud... See you soon in Rome :) and Florence.

    All the best,

    Karina
