    Hi John, definitely we have to meet during your visit. Let me know when you are planning to go to Italy, so we try to arrange some paint-outs.

    Here many art schools, definitely bring discipline into work. In most dominated Classical Painting, but not in all schools, depends which one you choose really.

    Architecture of Fiesole is like that, in small town they tried to fit everything :).

    hello John - thanks for your kind comment about my work. I'm answering you here because I can't find where to reply and now I've lost your message!!

    Anyway, you asked about how I created the light "VINI" against the dark background? the paint was quite rich and when the shine had left the paper, I used a rigger with a tiny amount of water to push the paint aside and form the letters. used same technique with "LIQUORI" but paint was drying fast, it gave me the opportunity to paint thick dark value paint into damp and light value for some letters and light for the rest.
