Is anybody ready to come to Kinsale this weekend? The weather might just be kind enough to allow us paint out. I am going to be in Kinsale, (for a change) and am keen to do some plein air painting. i have just returned from co-tutroring an outdoor painting holiday in South Africa with Karlyn Holman. As summer is here and there is some warmth coming to our shores, I am itching to paint outdoors.

If anybody is free to join me, please do so. Saturday or Sunday, whatever suits. Welcome to the site.

Plein Eire is all about en plein air painting as, you'll have seen.

Is that your thing, or are you mainly a studio painter who is curious about painting out of the confines?

Share a little bit about yourself or about the Mad 4 Art group. Most of our members are a bit crazy too so they should fit right in.

There are a few Cork members of Plein Eire but as far as I know, they have yet to venture out on a paintout although 'there has been talk'. Once that happens, or perhaps even in advance of it, some committed organiser/saint will no doubt set up something like a Cork Plein Air Society on our Group pages and the whole thing will take off in the South West. Of that I am sure.

Meanwhile, hope you enjoy the site and look forward to seeing some of your posted plein air work when you get around to it.
