Another attempt at pastel. Many thanks to David for his advice and information.I think this turned out a bit better than the earlier one - still plenty of room for improvement! Will do those exercises diligently, David, thanks again.

Thank you Norah and Sean for your comments. I haven't tried the sandpaper paper but am going to try gessoing wc paper.
That bank of clouds is beautifully rendered Sally - so soft and wispy but with volume too, have you tried that sandpaper pastel paper - think it is called fisher, but the wc paper is given you lovely texture.
A beautiful pastel of sea and sky, Sally. I'm going to try a bit of patience and perseverance myself.

Sally, I nearly missed this one. Lovely, and such a different medium from Oils.
