Full marks for perseverance, Paul. Subtle painting, too.
Tony was right about the competition (although usually not about much else) and these two are the first two images for members to vote on, being posted in December. Sorry to all those who have been submitting some more great winter landscapes over recent days. You were the inspiration fort this little bit of fun. We had to have a starting point and I am sure you all have one more in your locker.

Met Tony R. Told me about latest competition. At 4pm took easel panel and palette just outside workshop and started. Neighbour and fellow artist Christine M. stopped by on her walk.( cant go for walk in Barntown without falling over an artist) Light was fading fast and then snow . Unlike rain this type of snow stuck to the panel . Paints go like mastic( mastic is the preferred material of the irish builder,dont get me started!) Had to pack it in and move back to the workshop and finished the painting there. Recently I have been working from photos. After this plein air experience I know there is no substitute for the real deal.
