Decided to paint this beautiful scene and was shocked to see young lads swimming in this freezing cold clear-water lake!

Very nice. I like how you got the water to have both the rippled part and the smooth part, very nice reflections also.

That's really well done, Philip - stick with the oils! Regarding the swimmers, you'd be surprised how many people swim there, especially at week-ends. I wouldn't even dip my toe in it. Freezing temperatures aside, goodness knows what mineral residues are in there!
