I painted this one in Woodville House, New Ross, at a SEPA group paint-out on Sunday last. I find myself being drawn to old buildings recently, but I think it was the reflected sunlight on the pile of old slates that really caught my eye here. The lady of the house guessed what I had painted, asking me if I had done the "pissoir". Apparently, it was an old outdoor urinal!

Since "Backlit Pissoir" didn't sound great as a title, I homed in on the slates instead!

It's oil on 11" x 14" MDF Board.
