Are you planning to attend AIT, Deirdre? I would love to meet you. I have not been home since 2008 and look forward to a bit of plein air dabbling.

Thanks folks....If I could just keep them all that simple! !!!
There is a hint of Paul Henry here, but, better than Henry, is the simplicity of the composition and the muted colours. I love this painting.
I love the simplicity of it.
wonderful deirdre.Love it.
Very nice piece Deirdre
This breathtaking, Deirdre. I love the blue reflected in the ground below the lake. Wonderful.
Thanks Tony and Norah!
Yes Norah....there is always a temptation to fiddle with the foreground. A constant struggle! What to leave out? Charles Hawthorne American painter-teacher said "A painting should be like an after dinner speech.Say one thing and stop. "..................easier said than done!!!!!
How you didnt fiddle with the foreground and thus ruin it I dont know - a really wonderful painting, love the hint of gorse (its in full bloom here in Westmeath)
Great control and strong design.
