I painted this just above the sunken garden in Newtownbarry House last Wednesday. A bit outside my comfort zone as it is almost a floral painting, even though it is some sort of dwarf sycamore. The first signs of autumn appealed to me. The painting is oil on 11" x 14" MDF board.

Thanks Sally. That's close to how I saw it as the tree was partly in shadow.

this is lovely Michael. I love the way your cerulean blue/greens transmute into warm pinks and oranges

Thanks Norah. Billyo O'Donnell's workshop was taking place below me in the "sunken garden", so I tried to stay out of the way. Then this little tree started talking to me!

Colours beautifully captured Michael, there is a hint of autumn which is great right now as it is not too full on
