I love it Norah. Very moody The ghostly post in the foreground adds to the depth and to the sense of something having happened. And then those sinister "spires" - i'm sure that's not what they are called. Get out the pen and start writing.
Thank you Kyrle and Sean. It is called the Betty Langley lodge. Kyrlecit will be a good experiment to see if I can lose a few edges, will try that later.
Wonderful contrast between the pointed architecture of the building and the organic shapes of the trees.
All achieving full colour harmony with tones of blue. A lovely painting.
Well Norah! I love this one a lot!. You have some great textures and marks here, my favourite part s the left-hand half especially the tree branches, which seems to me as if you knocked it back, I feel the building also could be knocked back a little but overall I love the variety of mark, and the textures are sublime, Is that because the paper is mineral paper Norah?. Gorgeous!!
