Those boats seemed to hover an inch or two above the water - a trick of the light. Such a wonderful place. In the morning, mists coming off the lagoon give a dreamy feel to the city. As the mists evaporate, places become clearer, but there is a some water diffusion which adds to the effects of perspective.
