There's some really good things happening in this painting, Nuala. Good variation in the path from front to back and good observation of the cast shadow (overcast sky shadow) under the tunnel. One little thing you might consider is to make that curved line in the foreground a little less perfect - put a few irregularities in it and blur the edge here and there.

 Norah your kind comments are very much appreciated as always.  I did start painting in watercolours a few years ago and love it.  But I have now started painting with a group of friends down here in Wexford who all paint in oils, and at the moment I am learning from them.  I have turned off the watercolours for now but I will get back to them later. Watch this space.

Love your style Nuala - both your paintings are wonderful, do you switch between watercolour and oil ? I am trying to stick to oils till I sort out my tones and drawing and all that but feel a few watercolours coming on again !
