Great control of light and shadow in this, Deirdre. When I tilted my laptop screen, I saw a lot more variation in the shadows, which I missed the first time I looked at it. Really good work!

Thank you all so much! Yes the materials-oil on canvas and size 16x20"  .The Challenge has been worth it...only two to go!! At times I almost gave up thinking "If only I was at the other end of garden! However its not always about our initial perception....its what is revealed during the process of painting. Meg's response..."Bewitiching" interesting. That was the last thing on my mind as I left more wellington tracks in the spot. Thank you Plein Eire for the Challenge.
