Sally - one thing I learned about all the greens I have been using lately (apart from the warm/cool and mixing) is that a dark warm wooden frame suits them better ! I know the frame shouldnt matter and that the painting should stand on its own merit but I find it does warm up the painting !

You did a wonderful atmospheric painting of this scene, Norah.  Certainly not as gentle or subtle as your meadow series, but it wasn't that kind of place. Thank you for your comments.

What a place Sally - wasnt it magic and you caught its gentleness as well as the structure of the bridge - the touch of red brings it alive without taking away from the subdued light (I will never use lemon yellow or venetian red again as I used them nearly straight from the tubes in mine !)
