Oil on board. 12x24''.
Dee finally got me to go over to the Snailbox
to paint bales of hay. They are a good subject
as they don't move at all. Sean wanted to know what would happen if they started to roll away and crashed into things?. Does any one know? I liked the view across the Boyne Valley from this location.
Thanks Dee

An excellent painting, Patrick.   Love the bales and the farmer's house and the distant fields are brillantly suggested.     Next time we will all get together and push one down a hill to see what happens.

I'd say you would be squashed!

Well, I reckon, Patrick that if those bales rolled down that hill and if you were at the bottom you would be feeling rather flat right now. But they look pretty settled.  You got a great sense of the rolling plains of Meath and and great golden light on top of the bale on left. Very nice.  thank you by the way for you kind comment about my Lane.
