Warm sky cool shadow etc. You're looking for "Too much information" Norah! It was awkward in the sense that I had to wedge myself into a corner by the yard gate to avoid the wind.

You made a great job of this Sally - an awkward angle to paint from I would imagine but at least you got some sunshine to give you the shadows, now was that a warm sky cool shadow or a cool sky warm shadow ?

Thank you, Sean, Pat and Caroline, and Joe and Deirdre for your kind comments. Im afraid the shadows were hit and miss although I was pleased with those angles Sean. Must be the sharpness in me coming put!

Sally, love the warm colours in the walls.  A real gem, a lovely painting of a very difficult subject.

Sally ...I knew that this painting would work well for you, love the rusty tin roof plus the hint of Achill's great mountain Slievemor. Every shadow, fuscia bush and the light portrays Achill's beauty
