Beautiful painting, John.  Love the strong  red with everything else subdued.   And to answer the question - Yes, I can see the boats in the windows - it took a while!

That drawing is great john, not too easy on that scale.  Thank you for showing us your sketching equipment.  Were you tempted by one of the little tiny brass travel boxes ( one of my painter friends posted one on my page as he saw it for sale on ebay and knew I would be tempted). I ordered the one - a 16 month wait so plenty of time to save the pennies, I didnt like the colour of the one on ebay lol
