A late review but I love your Shetland serious Jan, you really captured the power of nature in your paintings. Very brooding and unsettling. Well done, these are wonderful.

Thanks again Ed . That dark cliff is  called 'Fitful Head' and this large one (24x60in) was made in the Sumburgh Lighthouse looking out at that view over a course of a few weeks during my residency. It was 'simmer 'dim' where the days don't end-really felt otherworldly and of course the painting changed numerous times as the weather moved the sea.(was exhilarating.). Shipping it home (Canada) -an altogether different story.
