Meet in the Marine Hotel, Sutton Cross at 11 and 3. Paint-out Howth, Saturday next, September 17. Howth is one of the richest areas in Ireland for painting subjects, with lighthouses, several Napoleonic Martello towers, a castle, an ancient abbey, seascapes, beach scenes, rocky inlets and a harbour rich in colourful buildings and reflecting boats.

Thanks Sean, there was a lovely moon out last night. I won't make it for coffee but will go straight to Howth
In answer to your question Norah, that lighthouse (and moon) has been photoshopped by someone, posted online, and I just downloaded it. The light reflections were a bit artificial looking , so I softened them a bit.

Is that one of your paintings Sean, the couple out for an evening stroll with the light of the moon - its lovely (sorry have no poetic lines to describe it ) but I am sure you have.
