Event Description

Paint yourself a waterfall!

We'll meet for coffee and chat at 11am at the Dunlewey Lakeside Centre (turn off the mountain road more or less opposite the service station towards the lake). Then around 12 noon we'll make our way over the bridge to the tiny lakeside 'ghost' village of Glentoran. Plenty to paint - lake and mountain views, stone cottages, trees and boats and yes! - a waterfall!

Back to the Centre around 2.30pm for tea and a warm-up by the fire. Come along even if it's just to sketch for a while and say hallo.

I haven't been there before but I am sure that I will be returning several time I am sure. Good to meet you all there today and from what I seen there was some good painting going on. Sorry I was so late but I did get some sketches and photos there are a few ideas brewing for paintings. Thanks for the post, I wouldn't' have found this area without it.

Comment by Norah Blount on October 17, 2016 at 17:25: We used to rent a house in Bunbeg, have great photos somewhere from around that area but not the same as painting there and I remember the beautiful silence around that old church in Dunlewy. McGinleys bus sounds like an adventure :)
