Event Description

I intend to spend most of wednesday painting in and around the Maynooth area. The college walled garden is looking particulary good at the moment, it has been left to its own devices which has a charm of an untidy cottage garden with delphiniums and roses galore. There is also a good cafe type scene outside the college gates for those who are not perspectively challenged, also some fields of poppies in the surrounding countryside

Great to hear from you Marita, I paint around Lucan Leixlip and Maynooth regularly so must meet up. Terrence I was hoping to get to the Japanese gardens but the fees in are now £12, Catriona I remember you came out the last time we met here so looking forward to catching up on wed.

Comment by Norah Blount on June 29, 2015 at 14:00: Parking in the college car-park, drive in main gates and veer left - pay and display. Parking free on main street or in underground car-park in Manor Mills shopping centre out the Kilcock road but with short walk to cafe. You can drive up to the walled garden but parking there is for students and staff but some of our painters parked there the last time we painted here.
