The paintout on Saturday, 17 August 2024 is Glassagh’s lower bay beach not far from Teach Jack’s. The cove offers a sandy beach, dunes, a board walk, rocks and islands - and not to be missed, the one and only Atlantic. We will be meeting at Fairyglen Café just after 10am – the café is in Derrybeg, pass Siopa Mhici on the left hand side and keep going up the hill and around the bend and you will see turquoise signs on the right (F92 XD7T gets your roughly there, it does not have drive in updated yet). And just to share, the Café opens at 10am so don’t be too early.
It is August and there has been some good weather so make sure to put on your sunscreen! And a hat! We know there is no guarantee so bring everything else you can think of to shield you from the forces of nature: layers to add on or take off, rain gear so you do not miss it when you need it - and what you need to sustain yourself: a light lunch, drink of your choosing, a chair - and let’s not forget that we are plein air painters so pack your art materials or whatever you want to spend your time doing. All are welcome to come along in body - and mind.
