Event Description

Due to the success of his previous workshop, David has agreed to hold another at" The Swallowsnest Studio", Saturday April 27th. 10am -4.30pm

cost for tis workshop is €55

This oil painting workshop with David Begley, is for all levels, nine places only. David will give group, and one to one instruction, on composition, anatomy of the skull, aspects of the head in portaiture, measuring, tone, mixing colour, and colour tempreture. David will also present and discuss portrait and figurative works of his own.

We will begin with a wipe out in burnt sienna, placing the head within the composition, and will work for the day from one pose , using a reduced palette of five colours, aiming to achieve a completed portrait.

We are welcomed to paint in plein air at Bargy Castle any sunday except on the 3 rd sunday of each month. So the 28 april is ok, so is the 5 may. The 12 may I will be in France so it would be a piety if you organize it on that day. 2 and 9 june ok with me too.
