Lets meet this week at 11 a.m. in the Gatehouse Grill in the grounds of An Grianan College, Termonfechin. All-day breakfast is served in the Gatehouse not to mention a menu that should satisfy all tastes.
By the way there is a variety of painting opportunities in the vicinity! – the grounds of the college itself with its mature trees, garden centre and Edwardian manor house.
An Grianan is owned by the ICA and fulfills many of that organisation's educational and social requirements. It featured in the RTE series ICA Bootcamp.
The beach is a 10 minute walk away.The Boyne
Estuary is about 10 minute drive away.
Termonfechin village is a few minutes away in the other direction with its attractive C of I church with an early Christian High Cross in the grounds. And its castle -
To get to Termonfechin from M1 –
1. Exit at Junction 10.
2. Follow signs for Drogheda.
3. At second traffic light turn left. (These lights are very close together). You will pass hospital on your right.
4. At roundabout go left .
5. Cross this road immediately keeping the thatched cottage on your left.
6. At next traffic light turn left.
You should now be on the main road to TERMONFECHIN.
When you get to Termonfechin turn right at traffic lights and the Gatehouse Grill is through the gates of An Grianan and on the left.
