This workshop is open to all. No prior experience of painting is required. It does not involve participants painting. It is an introduction to Tomás Kings working method, his materials and influences followed by a brief oil painting demonstration.
Tomás King has had many solo exhibitions in Ireland, England and France and taken part in numerous mixed exhibitions. From 2000 to 2010 he lived in the south west of France which has influenced much of his painting. Tomás has been a regular exhibitor at the Wexford Opera Festival since 2001 and has won both the people’s choice award and a silver award at the Wexford Plein Air Festival.
A love of colour and a fluid tactile use of paint are the hallmark of Tom’s style which moves between landscape, still life and figure work in an impressionistic manner. His paintings are held in several corporate collections.
