It wasn't on Wet Canvas that I came across it. But thanks for the heads up about Johannes.
I may be alone in not knowing about it as there doesn't seem to be 'anybody home' on Plein Eire today so it must be good.
...and I'll mention it to Tony when I see him.
Perhaps he's watching it already and not telling me?
I don't know if you came across this on Wetcanvas, Tony, but it's to be found in a lengthy thread posted there by Johannes Volthuis, an artist/teacher and personal friend of Aspevig. The only reason I mention it is that Johannes is giving free on-line live lessons at the moment. Just google "johannes" and "wetcanvas" and the link will come up. You just have to give your name and e-mail address (a false one if you wish!) and download the software from Webinar (a reputable company) and you can either watch or participate - it works like "skype" but you don't need the same broadband speed. I only have a nominal 2Megs (more like 1.2) and it works perfectly. He is "on air" every night from about 10-00pm until 1-00am for anyone mad enough like me. I'll be wrecked and divorced by Christmas!
Why is he doing it for nothing? I'm pretty sure that I know why and it's not in any way sinister, just a bit of "market development", but he is also genuinely enthusiastic. In terms of content, there is stuff that you won't find in any art books and a lot of it is very good indeed.
