N.B. Curtains closed to keep OUT the strong sunshine. Lovely day painting in Slane. I think most of us gravitated towards the river and the sun shone all afternoon.

It was one of those paintouts – as regards numbers attending it was quality rather than quantity. Six stalwarts turned out. And we all agreed that the sea mist that enveloped Annagassan was not a problem but rather added to the mystical atmosphere. However, by the time we had finished our coffee things were brightening up and most of us set off for the harbour. Here there was a break with tradition. We ate our scones,

The told us this morning there would be dry sunny spells this afternoon. It never stopped raining. But that made no difference to hardy Boyne Valley Plein Eirers. Nine of us met in Castlebellingham, Co.Louth,a little gem for painters and I hope we will return soon.Rainy Day in Castlebllingham
