You can add a DESCRIPTION to the Group Page and I recommend you use that asap to let would-be members know whether they must be actual members of LAS to join this group.

If not, then another, slightly altered name might be advisable.

Hi Patrick,

 Thank you for starting a 'Limerick Art Society' group within Plein Eire. You are now the Group Creator of that group. This cannot be altered without closing down the group and starting it over from scratch. You can set the parameters of admission and can also promote other members to the role of Administrator of the group.

I presume that your Limerick Art Society (as opposed to an entirely new 'Limerick Plein Air' will reflect the actual Limerick Art Society and therefore only genuine members will be admitted to your new group. I am not sure how many there are already on Plein Eire but I imagine you will be encouraging those members with an interest in painting outdoors to join you here?

If that is not the case, and you would prefer to just set up a group of like-minded local painters to arrange paint-outs, I would recommend another name (such as the above LPA) so as not to cause confusion (or worse!) to members of LAS and to those members local to you who may not be members of LAS but who would. like to join you to paint outside together.

Finally. I wish you well with the new group, whatever you may call it, and hope that you will soon come up with a logo or badge or image of some kind that represents your group and the area better than the generic green silhouettes the site puts up in the absence of something more appropriate. Perhaps, unless you have something in mind already, you may run a competition among the first few members, for fun?
