I have a suffering lately from a pain in the pochade...I get it about this time every year when it starts to get chilly and wet for painting outside and I start thinking about life-drawing instead to see me through to spring....
Dr. Sketchy's is a lighthearted franchise organisation. Generally, a bawdy burlesque life-drawing session, a sort of hybrid cross between the Royal Academy and "Carry On Nurse" with a dash of 'The Night They raided Minsky's' ?
Beginning in Brooklyn, Sketchy's has appeared at Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and has branches in over 100 cities worldwide. Not for everyone, perhaps but could certainly enliven this year's office party.
