Thanks Michael and Kevin for your kind words! I have tried blacking the boards over my normal priming and then wiping out the lighter areas with a turpsy rag It gets the first statement down very quickly, like a sort of negative block-in so one can get to the highlights quickly and restate any lost darks. The process is very quick, this only took half hour max and luckily I had a train to catch or I might have fiddled about with it!
