The boats were setting off, so it was a matter of capturing the pattern of the white sails against the sky. After the race the sailors had to drag the boats and the sails over the mud to their mooring places.

Maike & I took a two bedroom apartment in Batt Street and I think we'll be back there next year.. It was a wonderful surprise to find this beautiful harbour at the end of the road. The men sailing were friendly, and told me the time of the races.
Zeus's back legs look a bit odd, so I think I will have to invent a grassy tussock to conceal them. April is looking out from behind him and I think her shape is a bit better. neither of them stayed still, and I got so, so wet. I'll post a picture when I get around to doing something about Zeus's legs.
The photos I took of this are not nearly as colourful as my eyes saw it. I haven't painted from photos for years, but I have a commission to paint a picture of a friend's dead pet from a photo. Hope I don't disappoint.
