Looks very much like the early work of wassily kandinsky, a russian abstract artist 1866_1944.check him out.a new diraction patrick well done.

This is what I see Patrick - a map of Tara from above, then on another level there are thorn trees and the abstract shapes  which link it together, are you going to work this up in to a painting - would be great iin mixed media and fun to do too , have a look at this liink - the artist is called John Blockley and I love his work
