Thanks for your comment Elaine.  Its only in recent years that pumpkins have come into our lives.  Before that we had to make do with turnips.

The pumpkins are still growing, Sally.  Love your colors.  It is getting to be pumpkin time here, and I love seeing them all over the fields.

It was only when I got home that I noticed that my pumpkins were miles too small or else the flower was miles too big. PEBV members were far too polite to pint this out at the time! 8" x10" oil on board.
