Yes Sean is right this pram resonates. We had our first grandchild in the house five years ago. I went to great lengths to get a proper pram. It was an expensive second-hand SilverCross with big wheels, springs and a deep body. The baby could sleep outstretched, sit up comfotably and even share it with another baby. And taking it to town was a surefire way of meeting people - better than walking a dog. One of the best buys I ever made. Just need another baby now to use it again.
i think it just must be the darks that make it so whimsical- really lovely
Thanks Sean,Karen,Norah! It was a "find" at a carboot sale. I was aghast at the thought of someone geting rid of the dolls pram.I like the idea of used old things being redeemed in paintings....rather than being left to the moths!!
I remember loving bringing one of my cousins out for walks in a pram just like that and wish that someone had had the forethought to keep it, it had a violet cover - maybe that is what Sean means about paintings having a resonance - love those darks you always manage to do so beautifully too
that's pretty beautiful...
I find strange resonances coming from this that I can't identify. Perhaps that's what all paintings should have.
