Thanks Pat thats great encouragement. I'm still quite new to this so still figuring at lot out. I am finding the toned gesso a great help to judge colours and tones. The white gets distracting and I feel I'm in a race to cover it.

Catriona.. you seem to like the gesso terra cotta earthed primed canvas/board that I also use prior to painting. i love your brushworked not overworked approach to painting which happens over plenty of practice well done Catriona....and thanks for your kind comments
