Some plein aire work, this was finished up at around eight in the evening (in between the showers) last Saturday. I will probably tidy it up a bit more but it'll remain the same in essence. We were staying in the village in the distance and i liked the general sweep of vast landscape and the streaking light that would suddenly sweep across the hills in between the clouds from the vantage point of the hill path it was done on.

James I keep coming back to look at this. It is so impressive, just about everything in this painting I like, great use of color, sits well on its underlying design and great sense of recession and all that in 20 x 29.

I love the colours in this, James, and the way you handled the waves. Also, very impressed with your drawing of the bikes in your Hall Study.
