Thanks to Norah for reintroducing us to Delvin bog on Saturday last.
Somewhere on the Road to Ballivor. Oil on canvas 8”x10”. Had to finish it at home as there was a bitterly cold wind. Have hardly experienced such cold since Dee Sh...y had us out painting on Portmarnock strand in a hailstorm.

Thanks to all for your kind comments and thanks to Eamon Hyde for his peely wally comment - not sure exactly what it means but I think it might apply to his comment.
Definitely not "peely wally" as they say in bonny Scotland. It seems a muscular rendering, plein de force et avec conviction. I like it a lot.
Wonderful work, Sally. I can't resist dappled sunshine.
You made a great job of it Sally, the pattern of light and shade works so well. It was a funny day, cold one minute and too hot the next and it was so busy with all the turf being collected.
Jim, I have added a blog and you can post your painting there
Fair play to you Sally, it was far from pleasant in that spot but you produced a fine painting, good to meet up again !
Can't post mine here it was done in the studio.
It's lovely Sally. I love the light and shadow on the road, and the light and shade on the house behind the trees
