Sassari is full of these beautiful narrow alley ways. A man stopped to lecture me in Italian about perspective, and to insist that I paint in the flowerpots on the top of one of the houses. He was a shop keeper on the main road, and he was outside, and checked my work later - and I'd forgotten the flower pots.
