It was a beautiful day for painting. Yachts with their spinney up, canoes, even the dreaded jet ski's. And strange craft roamed the skies too. The Bray Air Show was on, and I saw formation flying, turbo prop planes, helicopters, and even a delta wing jet doing loop the loop. Tomorrow I'll go to the show properly.

The fishermen were saying that there were no fish near shore, and what lobsters and crabs they had were already sold. Ah well.

Then one of them approached where I was painting. "How many do you want?". "Two please". They were waiting for me, and they wouldn't take my money.

Comment by Valerie Syms Martin on July 27, 2017 at 7:19: Painting en plain air is always partly about the experiences you have while you paint. The sights, sounds and smells all somehow become part of the piece you are working on. There is freshness to plein air work.
