Thanks Norah and Sean for your nice comments...Speaker Connolly who was in the Irish House of Commons had great wealth and would have built around the same time as Ireland's Premier Duke of Leinster Fitzgerald perhaps there was great compitition between the two men who got most of their influences from Louis xiiv Style of Formal gardens and estates of their times Leinster House was their Dublin retreat

Very accomplished paining Pat, I know that spot well as we walk there most weekends. Is Carton a sister house of Castletown house in Cellbridge ? . I like your mixed media paintings as they have a great feel for old buildings - like the way you included the boat house and the few golfers which shows its current use
