After a heavy snowfall a couple of days ago the snowline has retreated above the Barrio Alto. The low sun gives interesting shadows at this time of year.

Hello again Laura, and thanks for your kind remarks. This time I wasn't on my roof but lower down the village in a sheltered corner in a doorway. Still very cold here.

Hi Sean, thanks for your encouraging comments. I can't claim the credit for the formation of the light and dark areas, it's the magic of nature again. I suppose it was what attracted me to the view in the first place.

I love the way you organized the painting, Jeni,  with from the bottom,  bands of light and dark alternating right up to the snow.
