At the Edge of Light
Painted en plein air on Lopez Island, in the San Juan Islands of Washington State, during a misty summer morning. This field is located about 1/2 mile from San Juan Channel in Puget Sound, hence the marine-like atmosphere. The fog was coming and going as I painted, with bright sunlit areas punctuating the scene.
